Track Your Website Visits With Google Analytics

Track Your Website Visits With Google Analytics

What it's for

Google Analytics measures your website traffic: how many people visit, which pages they view and where they come from (Google, social media, word of mouth...).

Simpler: built-in statistics

If you just want to know how many people visit your website, turn on the Site statistics option instead: visits, page views and traffic sources, right in your dashboard (Statistics page in your menu), with no Google account.

Important: cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies, so visitors must be asked for consent. Flopix handles it: as soon as you turn on Analytics, a consent banner appears on your website, Analytics only loads after visitors accept, and a note is added to your legal notice.

Step by step

  • Create a Google Analytics account and a property for your website.
  • Copy your measurement ID: it starts with G-.
  • In Flopix, open your website, then the Advanced options tile, and expand the Visit statistics card ("Services and connections" group).
  • Paste the ID and click Enable Analytics: tracking starts.
Like every advanced option, it can be turned on as soon as your website is live (active subscription, free trial included).

🎃 Create your site for free
